Systems Engineer (DIACAP)


This candidate will support the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process for administering DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) program in Total Immersion Software’s Engineering organization. Candidate must also have experience in managing IT or IA related projects that required extensive documentation and coordination across projects. CISSP or CSSLP certification is required. Project management experience is preferred. Applicant should be a self-starter, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, be capable of directing activities of other team members as well as self direction, able to multi-task, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

Applicant must possess a knowledge of IA and all aspects of C&A, including:

•    Certification and Accreditation processes that require the knowledge of DoD Guidance (DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, 8520, AR 25-2), DITSCAP, DIACAP, Army Best Business Practices (BBP) and information assurance and auditing.
•    DISA STIGS and STIG Tools
•    IAVA Compliancy
•    Writing documentation in support of DIACAP

Preference will go to candidates with training or certifications in the following areas:

•    CISSP or CSSLP (required)
•    DIACAP, DITSCAP, DoDD 8500 series
•    IASO Training
•    DoD IAT Level II or III certification
•    SANS GCIA, GCFA, GCIH

In this position you will report to the Director of Engineering and be responsible for the following activities:

•    Independently developing new policies and procedures to create and maintain DIACAP certified products.
•    Generating all required documentation and materials to support the DIACAP process.
•    Working with others in the organization to integrate best policies and procedures into the development process.
•    Be the primary point of contact for customers and partners during certification and maintenance.
•    Be responsible for generating top level system, data flow, and application diagrams and documents.
•    Making recommendations on best technology practices.
•    Providing technical evaluations of proposed systems and technologies.
•    Providing training and mentoring on IT/IS and security engineering standards and practices.

The candidate must have 7 years relevant experience and a Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline or related field, OR 5 years relevant experience and a Masters Degree in a Technical Discipline or related field. The selected candidate must have participated in at least 2 full scope/lifecycle DIACAPs.
