Visualize, Virtualize, Simulate

Building Apps with RealWorld — 3 Easy Steps

With the RealWorld platform's Rapid Environment Creation capability, building applications involves three easy steps:

Visualizing - The first step in building an application with RealWorld is ingesting the GIS data into the RealWorld 3D editor. This gives you the base environment which you can think of as the "set" for your simulation. You can move around and inspect the environment visually and identify the improvements needed to provide the realism you require. At this point, there is no physics or time but you can move around and inspect the environment visually.

Virtualizing - Next, you enhance the environment and attribute it to create the level of fidelity needed for the job at hand. This is where your judgment as an expert is applied. Do you need the glass to break? The doors to open/close? The avatars to speak a particular language and respond to cultural mistakes? Do you need it to be raining? Or the sun to be in the correct position for the date and time? You determine how much detail is required, and where.

Simulating - Now you're ready to move to active play. Push the button to save and the simulation is ready to go. At this point, time and physics are both active and you can run the simulation to train individuals or groups. To change the action, simply go back and edit the environment or action.

It's that easy - visualize, virtualize, and simulate.
