Artist – Creates 3D geometry, textures, animations, particle effects, etc, which become foundational artwork for future asset creation. Analogous to Prop or Object Artist. Asset Creator – Couples artwork with functionality; defines features and attributes for objects used in scenarios; writes scripts to support required functionality. Analogous to Game Designer. Assets – An ever expanding population of high fidelity objects, attributes, and environments Digital Backlot – Assets and intellectual property we’ve created for building games using Real World. Entertainment Games – Games played for fun. Fidelity – Realism you can feel. Flexibility – One platform, endless possibilities. Fun – To make fun, you have to have fun: Ideas – Appeltini’s on Friday; Nerf guns; Star Wars figurines; Multiplayer game free-for-alls; intensely focusing on building innovative games Geospecific – Digital terrain that accurately represents a specific region on the earth, with sufficient detail for realistic, recognizable visualizations. Geotypical – Visualizations which are created by inserting "typical" elements such as generic houses, trees, etc., in approximate locations, determined by geographic data, so as to make realistic but non-specific visualizations. Geoclose – Visualizations that have some accurate terrain elements. For example, a building that has the correct layout and placement of salient features (e.g. windows, doors), but an approximation of the façade, rather than the specific signage and decorative features of the real building. Ideas – Creativity reduced to practice. Immersion – To be immersed is to be enveloped in the environment of the game. Fidelity, anticipation and surprise are all results of the immersive experience. Innovative Games – Games that break new ground. Original. RealWorld – Game development platform extraordinaire. Takes fidelity and flexibility to an unprecedented level – “To infinity and beyond!” to quote a popular animated spaceman. Scenario Author – User of the RealWorld interface tool that allows planning, rehearsal and review of game scenarios as well as control of the simulation or game’s physics, artificial intelligence (AI) and business logic. Serious Games – Used for serious purposes such as training and mission rehearsal Simulations – Interactive computer applications that allow the learner to model or role-play in a scenario. Simulations enable the learner to practice skills or behaviors in a risk-free environment. Simulation Builder – Writes code to extend SimBase functionality and enhance simulation feature set. Analogous to Programmer. Success – Delivering an awesome result; participating in the upside of one’s creative and productive efforts. Team – Group of people working well together to accomplish a meaningful goal while having fun. Terrain Builder – Gathers, combines and augments data from wide range of sources to provide the "set" or "level" on which scenarios are played. Analogous to Level Artist.
