RealWorld Ground Environment Sample Scenario

Intelligence reports arrived regarding a planned bombing in an urban area. Team leaders use FalconView to plan a recon and assault mission. Plan data and area of operation environment data are automatically ingested into RealWorld. Recon and assault teams rehearse the complete mission in RealWorld:

• Practice coordinated ingress, mission execution and egress
• Recon team scopes out insurgent numbers, activities. Radios intel to assault team
• Assault team arrives via helicopter, inserts on rooftop
• Snipers neutralize outside threats while assault team enters building and engages OPFOR (opposing force), locates and retrieves intelligence
• A-10C called in by radio to neutralize OPFOR in get-away vehicle loaded with bombs
• A-10C flies over, locates and confirms target with ground operators
• A-10C flies over, locates & confirms target with ground operators; drops guided bomb and eliminates getaway vehicle
• Ground teams exfiltrate
• Mission Review
• Team members use RealWorld's AAR for first and third person 3D mission playback & review
• Team refines mission plan & activity timing based on review. One of the team members noticed that an antenna on the roof prevented a second helicopter from landing during egress. If the assault team destroyed the antenna during their infiltration phase, it would accelerate exfiltration by adding a second helicopter. This kind of insight can only come by rehearsing real mission plans, on real terrain data.
